We have a 2017 Tahoe Premier. The back up camera quality is really bad.

Wondering if there are any ways to improve the quality (replace the lens, the whole camera, etc.) or if there are any mods/upgrades that can be done.

Thanks

I was hoping The Tahoe/Yukon/Escalades would get an upgrade kit like the Sierra trucks can get but I don't think so. The factory screen has a resolution around SD so even if a HD camera could be made to work best would be a sharper image. The Sierra kit camera can do 600p or 600 lines of resolution and it does improve it enough to notice though.

Otherwise probably some aftermarket solution is the only route but I am not sure.

Agreed. Backup cam is very bad… would also love to know if someone has figured out how to retrofit the Cadillac Escalade front camera. Would be nice to have that in several situations.

Backup camera is horrible on these. Pretty much unusable at times.
