Its been covered before, but my situation is a little different so here goes:

Just purchased (1.5 years ago) BFG ATs and they are still in great shape (have about 15k miles on them) but really like the XD Monsters. Should i just wait a couple more years and get 20inch and new tires, or get some 18inch off ebay now?

opinions - GO...

just buy the 20s and tires now. splurge on things you enjoy in life. you can always sell what you have now to make a buck back....

IMO, if you off-road, go with 18s. They ride better off-road and won't get damaged as readily.

With only 15k on the BFGs, how long will it take you to get to ~40k? Those BFGs wear great and that seems like the typical mileage they are replaced. Can you wait that long? If not, go purchase the new setup if you can readily afford it and sell the 18s.

Zed, it will take me about 3 more years to reach 40-45k miles, haha! i dont really drive around that much. The XD monsters in an 18 really wont break the bank as they are only $140ish on ebay. I think i may do that and then in 3 years when the tires wear out i can decide on new rims and tires then!
