Anyone from the Detroit area for CL help?

Only thing is it's in Detroit and I am in DC.

So if a Deeeeetroit local is willing to help me out and contact the seller, inquire about the item and if it's still available, and if it's in good condition I will send you the money to purchase and ship it plus some extra for your time.

I have done this once before with tahoewhat with great success, where he bought and shipped an esky rack for me from Houston and I am always here to do it for a member who needs something from DC CL.

Anyhoot, I know it's a pain in the butt to pack and ship, but if you're in Detroit and willing, want to make a few extra bucks, and help out a fellow member, let me know.

I'm weary to contact them from DC as it reeks of scamming ...

The first thing they warn sellers on CL is never ship/never paypal, just face to face transactions. And whereas I trust TYF members to take my money and come through I wouldn't a CL seller.

So my experience is that most, including myself, won't do long distance CL transactions
If he listed it on ebay I would have already bought it.

its a tad different when you actually CALL the guy and not email them and say your shipping company will pick up the item, blah blah.

If someone called me and was sincere enough to send payment, had references, could show where they were building the vehicle on TYF.COm, etc, I'd be inclined to sell to them.

Can't hurt to ask!
