Anyone ever try putting their 22” wheel with 305/40 tire where the spare goes?

I’m headed to California then Mexico from Virginia in October in Big Mama. I have an extra wheel/tire combo the same as I’m running now. I need the room in the back. Anyone tried it?

Should fit. Might hang down a little more and the safety may not engage depending on offset, but unless I missed something, should crank up out of the way fine.
