While I have not done so myself, there are a number of discussions in the forum that explain that Trailblazer airbags will fit inside the springs and are compatible with the original compressor.
The Trailblazer bags are compatible and will work beautifully with the factory compressor. The catch is, unless you are looking for a 4" drop in the rear, the ride is probably going to be very stiff.

Although I suppose you could run a spacer under the bag to compensate for the height needed.

I never needed to because I drop all my trucks.

You will need an adapter to convert from the 1/8" hose on the compressor to the 5/32" hose on the Trailblazer bags.

That's a key detail I hadn't picked up on. I take that to mean that Trailblazer springs are significantly shorter than Tahoe springs.

They are shorter, I'm not sure of the exact difference, but combine that with the extra weight of a Tahoe/Suburban and it means the Trailblazer bags ride really good at around a 4" drop from stock on the full size trucks. You can go lower and it will feel soft and squishy or higher and it will get stiff.

They have zero issues with towing trailers though. I have hooked up and hauled car trailers with Tahoes on the back with the TB bags and hooked up to the auto leveling compressor it worked beautifully.

Physics dictates that the larger diameter bags will require less pressure to get the same amount of lift as the smaller bladder on the factory air shocks. So it isn't like you are stressing anything in the system by doing this.

The TB bags are entirely different from the Air-lift bladders that go inside the coil springs however. Those air bladders that go inside the springs aren't really designed to provide lift as much as they are there to stiffener the rear springs by filling in the gaps between the coils.
