Aftermarket radio with factory dvd player?

I currently have an 04 Tahoe Lt with the factory bose system and factory panasonic dvd player. I want to get a new headunit but still be able to use the DVD player how would I be able to do this?

i wired my DVD player to my aftermarket DVD entertainment HU thing. i have an alpine w505 and i just wired up the av outs on the HU to the AV in on the factory dvd player.

I did the same thing... ran rca's up the post under the headliner to the AV in ports which I pulled inside the stock panasonic DVD/video console.

they are doing it backwards.

you want the audio on the new radio right?

you need an audio in/aux.

then you need to find the audio outs on the wiring insidethe unit, and then put rcas on em, and extend that down to behind the radio.

yeah I want the audio from the current factory dvd player to be heard on the new radio
