I recently got a 1997 GMC Yukon that already had an aftermarket head unit already installed that was working. However I decided to replace it as this unit did not have USB or Bluetooth. I replaced it and it did not turn on when I turned the truck on. I checked to see if I hooked up the correct colored wires to each other and I did. I checked to see if there were any fuses blown (only ones I saw that were fuses for the radio were fuses 17 & 19) and those fuses weren’t blown. My next guess is that there is a short somewhere in the system. Also when I looked at the old head units wiring adapter there was an orange wire that the new units wiring adapter does not have. Is this orange wire important? If it is not important, what should I check next?
