Looking at the factory airbox versus the aftermarket air boxes, there doesn't seem much of a benefit to spend money for aftermarket. The factory looks like it is a very good intake system.

I have another company willing to make a custom intake.

Regarding your P1101 trouble code, there are many causes for this, as you've probably already researched.

MUCH better sound, IMO.

I don't have any codes from the installation of my K&N kit. It has been on for almost a year.

What I’ll be doing. It’s a factory gm air box modified to fit a super charger I believe it looks much better the part number is 85114011

i used similar GM perf airbox on my '15 Callaway burb, so i could get some slightly better airflow & not have any issues w/ Dealership & GM

There's nothing to apologize about here. If the GM airbox supplies the air that your molded engine needs, then who the F**K cares? It is meeting your specific needs, and that is all that matters.

Just an update the power steering bracket snapped. Common issue with these. Whipple now makes a new improved bracket for the (non) power steering pulley. I’ll post pics once installed.
