Took the 21 Yukon on a family trip last week, and the glove box got scratched. About 1 mm deep

Just thought I would reach out and see if anyone had any thoughts on how I could repair this. I read about using a heat gun on it, but not sure if that would look right after with possible change in texture. Also read somewhere about using toothpaste?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Having something you can make a mold from- RTV,Plasti-dip. then spray a mold release on area to make mold, apply stuff n waitfor cure. Clean area to be fixed, add superglue to scratch, fill with baking soda and immediately cover with mold and rub, dont allow mold to walk. remove mold soon and clean edges with acetone or similar. Paint.
There may be a stealership kit with the embossed vinyls cheaper than they used to be.$350
