I have replaced the AC control switch assembly in the dash to try and get the recirculate button to work. The light stayed on on the old one and it still stays on in any position on the new one. It will not switch it from recirculate to the fresh air. There has to be a solenoid somewhere that is bad. Does anyone know where it is or where the door is for this? Any other ideas?

Thanks'

I paid 98.00 for the new one. I'll sell it to you for that plus shipping.

Um, not to insult intelligence or anything, but you're aware that when you turn the AC to max, the recirculator goes on no matter the button position, yes?

Well I be dammed. I have only owned Fords for the past 25 years and the max is on the vent selector side. i never gave it thought that the max on the temp side was just that.
It appears to be working fine now that I know where it is.

Thanks' ravingmadman for pointing out the obvious to me.
