I have been buying my Wix WL10255 filters from Fleetfilter. $6.28 ea. They don't carry the XP version but they are for extended running and I choose to change my oil before I get to 5k miles. I also run 5w-30 Mobil 1 high mileage oil.

The MicroGard Select 10255 is manufactured by Wix and has synthetic media, if you want Wix XP-like specs. $10

There’s some threads on BITOG about this.

Theres a more-available PF63A that looks like it’s a replacement for the PF63. It’s black and built slightly differently.

I went to the dealer to get my pf63 filters. They gave me pf63a. They're clueless about the change. He suspected is was to combat the counterfeit pf63. Well, that is what I have to add.
