A new 2002 Tahoe z71 project

I've had so much fun fixing up my 2005 LS Tahoe over the past 8 months but what I really wanted a black z71. Well, I found one for a decent deal and I'm going to switch over to that one. It's 3 years older but it has about 70k fewer miles and no rust at all. Looks garage kept for most of its life and never went up north. It's got a steering column issue in the ignition cylinder (someone tried to drill it out) so I'm going to have to replace it and all the key tumblers but I think I should be fine. It also has fewer control buttons which I'm fine with because it's less that can break.

I'm going to miss a few things like the steering wheel controls but I think I can buy an aftermarket attachment for the JVC I'll be moving over. I do like that it has the barn doors and the bench seat. Anyway, I'm just getting started and looking forward to more fun and wanted to tell someone. lol

If all the work he did to his other rig and the problems he had doing it all is any sign of his determination, he will dig in and get it done, no matter what. Like a "dog on a bone".

On the Z71's around here the bumpers always are rotted out. Looks in good shape.

This one is local but alas, no barn doors. I don't like the upper windshield shield at all and needs interior work, I looked at it this morning before they open. It was locked up.
