First I apologize if I named this wrong or posted in wrong place .. so I was replacing my starter when I noticed that my ground cable that connects to the starter and goes up to the battery is falling apart . As I took the old starter off the wire actually broke in half . Is there a replacement available or am I going to have to search junk yards ? I'm sorry if this is vague but I will try and be more specific if needed . As of right now the old wire it broke right before the part is connects to the starter .

I follow it up to the ground . Isn't the power the smaller cable ? This is the bigger of the two that broke .

There are two wires - the small purple is from the starter relay. I’ve broken that stupid ring terminal more times than I care to. The larger is directly to the battery. Most parts stores should carry that.

Factory part had two wires from the battery - the larger to the starter and the smaller to the alternator. Note that it’s for a side-post battery.

When I first started reading this, I thought that I was reading about the most rare 99 Yukon I have ever heard of.
