So this is my first post, love this forum check it everyday. A lot of people have rear air problems but mine seems unique, I think. My front ac blows so cold it will run you out of the car. But in the back, where my 18 month old son is, nothing works. The overhead console in the front has homelink, map lights, and rear air controls. Everything works except the controls. The back rear site controls don't work either. Any thoughts? I have removed front and rear overhead consoles and in the front there is a black connected which is my map lights and homelink. These work fine. The ac hook up is connected finewith no corrosion. The rear as well is a nice clean connector. I have read that if the front works and is nice and cold then the back must work also. But somewhere there is a loose wire I assume? Where do I start? Thank you in advance.

not sure if this applies but it might be worth checking into.......i've got a trailblazer and i've read of issues with the a/c blowing cold on one side and hot on the other. the problem commonly ends up being some kind of actuator door that does not fully seal allowing hot air to bypass it and come through the vents. again i dont know if this is true for the tahoe rear air systems but there could be an issue with the system not closing up and allowing hot air in the back.

yeah i have heard that too. i replaced the relay in the front overhead console today and it didnt do anything. if the front controls dont work does that mean the rear ones wont work. i thought maybe the rear ones get power from the front and thats why neither worked. i guess my next step is to replace the rear overhead console relay?
