6.0 Mass Air Flow

On mornings when it's below freezing out and I start my truck up, it doesn't run right and almost dies. When my tranny was getting rebuilt last week, they said my Mass Air Flow was throwing a code but my check engine light wasn't on... This morning when I started it up, it sounded like it was cammed and the engine light was flashing for about a minute but then went away and cleared up and ran fine... Guess I'll look into getting a new MAF sensor.

You probably did but have you tried some MAF cleaner

I did that today although it looked clean already. Guess we'll see if it acts up in the morning after sitting all night below freezing.

Also think about cleaning the throttle body if it's been a while since you've done that, might also think about seafoaming the intake while you are at it!! Just doesn't sound right if the MAF is throwing a code but no engine light, have you tried getting the codes read on your own? I don't trust other people sometimes and have to see it for myself to believe it!
