4wd not disengauging from 4lo

OK so my 99 yukon will not disengage from 4lo no matter what do sometimes it works sometimes it don't right now t won't I was getting clicks and weird noises behind the instrument cluster and it would work now it won't click or do anything it just flashes 2hi couple times then back to 4lo I hit 4wd auto flashes then back to 4lo everytime what is it anyone know

Could be a host of things. is the Service 4wd Light on? Verify the bulb works? and if it is what codes is it popping.

I had the same issue..it was my switch. Replaced it and everything works again.
