i run mine at 45 sometimes 50. feels firm, and fine to me, also helps on the gas mileage, but my tires are also rated for 45psi. yours maybe 35psi max. read them.

I've got 305's, if that matters, and on the roads I run them at 45. In a couple of weeks I'll be doing some fishing on a beach and will drop them down to about 25 for that.

I got 22's & I run em at 40 psi. My tire guy said its a good rule of thumb to go 1 psi per inch you go up in tire size. Stock 17= 35. 22= 40. ive run em at 35 & didnt like the ride so I went to 40. Helped out with gas too. Just my 2 cents.

Hope I'm not being ignorant but why not just inflate your tires to what they're rated?

Naw bro, thats a good question. The whole thing is the psi the manufacture recommends is minimum suggestion. The high number is tire cold and vehicle fully loaded. Just inflate to what your comfortable or you think is a good ride. Like i said i was running at 35, which is factory psi, but ride felt to bouncy. At 40 she runs nice. I can go as high as 55 psi, but i want to keep my fillings. just look at the tire sidewall and you will see the low and high number. your good anywhere in between.

Thanks Vince for the explanation. I thought the recommended was the max.
