Just lifted a window sticker of an In-Transit Yukon from the internet. The fueleconomy.gov mpg on the sticker indicates 24mpg highway but the fuelenonomy.gov web site lists 26mpg highway.

Any thoughts on why the discrepancy?
In the real world, you'll probably get around 20 miles per gallon. Although I must admit, gas mileage means nothing to me. I would avoid diesel and go with gas.

In the real world from a real OWNER, I'm over 20 MPG in the city in bumper to bumper traffic with the AC on high. NO V8 would ever crack that....

Cruise 75-78mph get 30-33mpg. 39,000 mile lifetime fuel milage same as for my 2016 v-6 Impala. Commuting and cross commuting in Boston 18-22mpg. Heavy stop and go in winter - 1/2 hr to go two miles - will take it down to 14mpg. I think if I lived rurally again I would be getting 25-26mpg. But the real reason to get this engine is the smooth way it drives. And I don't think it gives up any acceleration to the 327 V-8.

At those speeds, I do not get 30+ mpg. Maybe on flat highway. More like 25 for me. But still very good imo.

I don't see above 30 when I'm 70mph+ - ~28mpg is what I'm usually getting. However, with cruise set at 60mph, I'm in the mid-30's. The best I've ever gotten over a 2+ hour stretch is 38.4mpg - speed ranged from 55-62mph.

The one nice thing about above 70mph is the engine does enough work that EGTs are high enough to get some passive regen. I can watch the DPF soot load % drop and I get more like 500+ miles between regens.

Good point and yeah, I’m really happy to hang around 25 mpg at 75mph+. I’m sure you’d be lucky to get 16-18 in the V8!

My 24 Yukon SLT gets 25-26 on the road with the cruise on 75. I don't know how anyone gets in the 30s at those speeds. My best 50 miles per gallon was 34.9, but my average speed for that trip was 52 MPH. You're pushing a 5,500-pound box down the road that isn't very aerodynamic. Also, where I live, diesel is at best $3.50 per gallon, and regular gas is $2.69. I am not saving money on fuel, but I am happy not to be part of the recently announced massive recall of the 6.2-liter engines.
