2021 Tahoe Premier brakes message

Hello all,

I have a 2021 Tahoe Premier with the 5.3L

About once a week I get a message, "New Brake Pads detected Yes/no"

Its odd, as the trucks brake minder says the fronts are at 50% and the rear 74%
the truck has 32,000 miles, and the pedal is fine, no squealing no stopping issues.

Is the minder that far off? Or it is time to have them locked at?

Unless you drive it hard those numbers look about right. You can check to see if you have a loose connection.

After receiving the message, did you confirm the “no” selection?

Do you have the oil change service & tire rotation done at a dealer? If so, you could ask them to check the brake pad thickness on the next visit? My dealer performs an inspection on every oil change service (hoping to sell more services......).
