Hello everyone, long time no see.

Been quite busy but here is your 2021 Tahoe PPV/SSV info thread.

One, we will not be seeing them until late January at most. I have over 150 on order currently.

Secondly, here is a link to the spec guide for the 2021 PPV: Spec Guide
The PPVs are moving away from the Goodyear Eagle RS-As and going with Firehawk Pursuits on 20" steelies with 16" brake rotors and 6-piston Brembo calibers. GM is sticking with the 5.3L EcoTec engine with the same power output as the previous generation, but did add the LT4 rocker covers from the Camaro ZL1 for better cooling, this is ONLY on the PPV.

The SSV does not have a spec guide available just yet, but the options are basically the same as the PPV.

Third, the pricing for them is going to be pretty good, but don't expect to buy one if you're not a gov agency or equipment manufacturer.

I do have a midnight blue SSV coming in to use as my demo truck so expect to see more of it once it's in!

As always, if you have any questions regarding them please shoot me a message!

Sadly no IR missiles or miniguns.

The 2021s are in very high demand due to the short run of 2020s and the fact that police vehicles are just very hard to come by this year.

In addition, most of these vehicles are bought using GM bid assistance thus they cannot be sold outside of .gov agencies from GM's rules.

You could buy one if it wasn't purchased using GM bid assistance, but you'd still need a FAN.

What is bid assistance?

I hope GM gets the PPV/SSV Tahoe out soon or agencies will be heading over to Ford for the Explorer Interceptor Utility and Dodge Durango. I already see more of them floating around in my neck of the woods.

Disappointed in the sudden stop order at the factory. A town next to us is looking at Explorers because they are in need of vehicles. We are going to try and wait it out. I told them I'd want a Ram 1500 SSV or the Ford F150 Police if Tahoe wasn't an option.

Attempting to purchase the mono tube gas shocks that are standard on the PPV. Can anyone tell me the suspension code on the 2WD PPV. The dealer cannot help without the last 8 of a PPV VIN?
I would appreciate the equipment code or last 8.

Gave Chevrolet the equipment code as requested. Now they are telling me that for 2020 and newer vehicles the last 8 of the VIN is necessary?
Called Delco parts and they also require a VIN.
Should not be this difficult to purchase shocks?
Can anyone share the partial VIN or help with part numbers?
Thanks

hello everyone, I’m a small upfitter in Pennsylvania, I’m having difficulty finding the part number for the 20 x 9 steel wheels on the PPV Tahoe for 21.
I had a client buy an LS Tahoe that came with 20 inch aluminum wheels. But he would like to put the 20 inch steel wheels on the vehicle since it will be going off roading quite a bit for fish and Game.
The local dealers like top-secret trying to get a part number. If anybody can help it would be great thank you
