I replaced my Odyssey battery after 2 years as it was hesitating while starting. It was under warranty which was great as it is a spendy battery. 6 months later same thing happened. Replaced it. Repair shop said bad battery. That was in February. Now the same thing is happening. I asked about a draw on alternator. Was told every thing is normal. The shop is keeping it over night to draw the batter down. Suggest I replace the battery with a less expensive one, since I'm having an issue with Odysse batteries. When I turn over the key at first nothing but then a slow start. I don't want to get stranded. Is the shop missing something? I live in Arizona so its not cold weather. Is there anything I should have them check? Thanks for any insight.

Mine was doing the same thing. Slow starts for months. My issue was the Starter. Unfortunately the batteries in these vehicles barely last 3 years.

If it's happening over night disconnect the battery till you start it again. If it's low you know it's the battery.

The shop should be able to determine on their own if it's battery or some sort of other drain.

I used odyssey for years and years but the quality is not the same anymore (certainly not for the price paid), switched to interstate agm and they have outlasted the warranty.
costco carries them. They have lasted me over 4 years, which is rare for the environment here
