it may tell you something in the owners manual, but if you have the volume turned down to 0 it shouldn't turn it's self up, my 18 turns the radio on automatic even if I just unlock the doors, the radio is pretty integrated with other parts of the vehicle so the screen will always come on but you should be able to have the radio off if you prefer that way, try going thru the settings.
