2012 trans cooler line?

Ok so I don't have the heavy duty cooling option om the burb. I need to replace the lowertrans cooler line.
Is it worthwhile to upgrade? What does that include? If I have to replace stuff I'm game!

If it's just the section of rubber hose leaking, which usually leaks at the crimp fitting to the aluminum pipe.... And the hard lines themselves are not corroded and leaking..... Just get yourself a small tubing cutter, a couple 3/8 compression fitting to AN6, some 3/8 push lock hose and you'll be in business.

This is when I did on my wife's Escalade about 3 years ago.

For each flexible line:
Get yourself two 3/8 compression to 6AN male fittings. And then two AN6 female fittings for 3/8 push lock hose. And of course a couple feet of 3/8 push lock hose.

The stuff is super easy to work with and better than OEM. I also took the opportunity to install this spin on hydraulic filter in the return line. Since then, when I dropped the pan there's not even the customary dust present in the bottom of the pan. I usually change it every other time that I'm changing the engine oil. Mounted on the back side of the crossmember directly under the radiator.

I spent about $50 on the filter head, looking for one that had the in and out ports off to the side. Pretty common size for filters, 3/4x16 TPI. The AN fittings, I like the Evil Energy brand... Usually on Amazon you can get a pair of fittings around $12. I get the push lock hose from summit racing ... About $25 if I remember right for about 5 ft. Better quality stuff than what Amazon has.

Actually stole the idea from Ford. My 2006 F350 with the powerstroke diesel had a spin-on canister filter from the factory on the transmission return line. I sold it at 279,000 miles with the original transmission going strong. Transmission pan was always clean on the inside.

I honestly don't have the ability or maybe the knowledge of an fittings, I have to replace the lowertrans line so why not add a spin on filter and extra cooler. , honestly I need that, usually driving summer and warm.
