Does anyone know if the 12 system will work in our 07-11 models ?

Is it PnP? I would like to hope so but it might not

The 2012 is has HD based Nav. Much faster and pretty badass. It should work, if not, I can PM you contact info for someone who programs them to work in any model year.

It will not work, the wiring plugs are totally different, unless you figure out how to swap the wiring this will not work. I looked into this for my 2012 Silverado and was told the same thing about using one from a older truck. Take a look at the photos

No I didn't get the navigation as I couldn't find one with nav, 6.2l, 20" wheels ect so I settled on one without nav. But once I get the 1500.00 or so to get the one on ebay I plan on getting one.

So the "latest" in GM navigation technology -- now isn't that funny -- has a 30GB hard disk to hold the mapping software, which is probably years old to begin with, and your favorite music. Hey, you dumb-asses at GM, my iPod touch has over 30GB's worth of songs in it right now, since I don't store most of my music in compressed format, so that kind of makes your hard disk "technology" obsolete straight out of your factories. :Big Laugh:

Is GM "management" still stuck in stupid-mode, or what?????????

Cool thanks Aaron, but for 2k ill look into something else

Take a look at the Advent OGM-1 - for ~half price of the factory navi, it kicks A**.

In fact, I bought a 2011 Tahoe on Saturday mainly so I could install one in my own rig...
