So we have replaced my Denali heater/AC "mode actuator" on the driver side so solve the output stuck on defrost.
I researched carefully and used this part# :

ACDelco GM Original Equipment 15-73952 Heating and Air Conditioning Panel Mode Door Actuator

I had my mechanic install it, actually he subbed it to another friend that works well in tight spaces. $90 labor and $50 part Rockauto and we have LEG heat.
Second problem last week was the driver side power window controller. Been failing slowly for years. Finally driver side would not open.
Much research later, ordered this part# (which Amazon said would not fit 2003 Denali) and it dropped in, works like new. Hooked back up driver seat heater that was going on its own and solved that as others have reported. I decided not to remove the entire door panel and just break the front screw. It went back in fine with just the rear clip holding it. I have taken the old switch apart and cleaned all the circuits and graphite as a spare.
Here is the part#15883319 with ALL the supercides: (my OEM part# is 15186208 which I did NOT know until I pulled it)
  • 15186208 was replaced with 15202850 on November 1, 2002 for the U.S. market.
  • 15186208 was replaced with 15202850 on April 1, 2003 for the U.S. market;
  • 15202850 was replaced with 15112971 on May 1, 2005 for the U.S. market;
  • 15112971 was replaced with 15125142 on February 1, 2005 for the U.S. market;
Part 15125142 Has Been Superseded was replaced with 15883319 on March 1, 2007 for the U.S. market;
When this was replaced, the front side wire connector was tricky to remove. But its all in and working fine!!!

What do you mean break the front screw? Was this on accident? I've had my door panel off on my 02 multiple times and never had issues with any screws. Care to elaborate?

The door panels changed in '03 and the switch bezel is captured with a screw. Door panel needs to be pulled to remove the switch bezel without breaking it.

Exactly as droptopchevy said, rather than remover entire door panel, just break plastic where front screw is.
