Recently acquired a 03 Z71 Tahoe. While driving all gauges froze and the bottom of the cluster where the odo is went dark. Upon starting it the only light that lights up is the check engine light. Am I look at a fuse problem or do I need to look into rebuilding my cluster. Any advice helps Thanks :)

Someone might know better than me, but in my experience I had my cluster repaired. There's apparently hundreds of different clusters, all with unique issues, but for about $60-80 on ebay I found a company in colorado that I shipped my cluster out to. They replaced all the motors and put in LEDs as well as fixed any shorts.

I replaced mine. Got a lifetime warranty outta Autozone. Yeah it's a Dorman but it's been working great for years now. I was always afraid to try those repair places where you ship your cluster to. And didn't want to wait for the turnaround time. ncalvo, glad to hear that worked for you!
