2002 Yukon XL, the driver's side, Rear Door: Dashboard Lights say its open and it is definitely closed. Any clues as to why?

Is there a switch that might be failing or is it the Dashboard Lights that are in error?

If I remember right, there used to be a door jam switch plunger that had a habit of going bad but I think the switch is now in the door latch itself. You can remove door cover and inspect.

Door Ajar switch is part of the door latch/door lock actuator assembly...
2000-2006 models.
