I had to put my kids down for bed and grab popcorn. As I started trolling. I couldn't stop myself from going down this rabbit hole. I know my Denali will need the front diff redone at one point. Thanks for sharing all of this. Keep it up and good luck.

Details are that I'm an idiot as to why the speedometer isn't working.
Wrong connection under xfer case vss extension. I haven't had time to test but feel its probably this. That and it's closing in on 15F and my garage isn't super insulated.
Purple green, not purple yellow.
Also, tests can be in on pcm red connector pins 20 and 21.
Note that xfer vss resistance is about 1600 ohms.

Here is the problem. I botched the AFL Sonnax kit somehow. Its entirely stuck. This causes problems!
It might have also caused burnt up frictions. I'll still try to drive it and hope that it will last until spring when its not cold and ******.
New valve body came this morning. I hope to have everything back together this weekend.

woohoo progress!
I did some logging on stands. I logged requested gear and calculated ratio based on input and output speed sensors.
I slowly went up to 70mph and saw all gears requested. 1st to second was too fast to catch the ratio, but results were.
2nd, calc ratio 1.47
3rd, calc ratio 1.0
4th, calc ratio .78
70mph was around 2000rpm, which sounds sane for 4th.
A friend wants me to full throttle on stands. **** that. The truck is pointed at the middle of my house.
It's rainy, cold and may snow soon. I'm too delicate of a flower to break down in this shit. I'll take her out later
Also gotta say the part throttle shifting was damn smooth. I've got my hopes up.

Awesome! Very cool to see how far this truck has come. Nice work!
My AC started only blowing hot air. AC still worked in the rear. Turns out I had a bad actuator. Got a new one from Amazon, but still had problems. Turns out you have to let them calibrate. Here is was I did.
Turn all AC off and heat to coldest temp
Disconnect neg battery
Connect battery
Get in truck, close door
Turn ignition on but don't start motor
Wait a couple minutes and listen to your actuator chirping. I felt it moving. It's discovering the bounds of the blender and can take a while.
Start engine and go for a drive to get heat in the system for easier testing.
Park, engine off, open and close door. Supposedly door open and close ends a cycle, what that means I don't know.
Start truck and test! Mine worked at this point.
This thing under passenger dash near center console.
