Got a driveshaft coming. $85 on eBay. I also found a local shop to shorten it. What a slow process this has been.

Got it! Now to install tonight. I hope this fixes no AC at stoplights!

The first driveshaft deal fell through. The seller couldn't find it in their warehouse. Welp, I got an even better one for cheaper!

This is from California and lacks the thick rust the east coast driveshafts have.

My AC works great so far! Shut off your engine when warm. Try to spin the fan by hand. If it does with ease your clutch might be toast. Also, if your engine fan doesn't roar when starting up cold your clutch might be toast as well. There was a huge difference when spinning the new one as well.

I used this video to install. FYI I added a tiny bit of anti seize on the first couple threads to overcome issues screwing the new fan clutch on. It's self tightening so it won't fall off ;)

Did drivers side rear dust shield. It was OK before the winter. It turned to a rusted ************* by now. I used the other dorman two piece part. No need to remove axle shafts. Just grind off the stock part.

Got the Cali drive shaft in hand. If you're not on the east coast you won't understand how beautiful it is! My stock one is bumpy with Rust.

Just read the beginning of this thread and it sounds like the last person who had it did 0 maintenance whatsoever. Glad the Yuk is getting some much needed attention. She's a beauty, love that color!

It's simply amazing how little was done! I got her cheap though ;) Thanks for the compliments.

After this weekend, **** GM and their parking brakes. I've gotten really good at removing wheels, calipers and rotors to adjust them.

I got my Circle D tq converter. Its a 278mm 2A 3200 RPM stall. Basically a very modded stock 4l80e converter I *think*. In any case I was told it was good to 500ish ft-lbs at the wheels with nice daily and towing ability. $550, not bad considering many other are in the $1200 range.

Oh, the 4l80e has a higher 1st than the 4l60e so the high flash stall is welcome!!!!

Custom driveshaft done. Shortened by 1&11/16 inches to fit the 4l80e. I'm getting close to all the needed parts.

I'm working on the 4l80e valve body mods now. Inching closer.

I've racked up some miles in the process.
