Hello everyone,

As stated in my presentation, I live in France and my 2001 Tahoe is the same as in USA except for the frequency of the remote control.

Here, we can no longer obtain a replacement remote control. So, if you lose your ... you are down without any possibility to start.

Are there ways to neutralize the anti-start on the Tahoe?

Many French owners of Tahoe or Suburban seek a solution, without finding

curious here myself as 915 Tahoe suggested the truck learns the remote not the other way around. so if you trigger the computer to learn a new remote signal you should be able to program a us key fob. im unsure of the reasons why a different frequency would be used so i would just check on that.

Our frequencies are indeed different. Our remote controls are number GM / UTA 15732808, code RPO AU8 with a frequency of 433MHz it seems to me.
Some of us have bought US remotes but they are not recognized even after performing the procedure.

if thats the case you would need to purchase a us remote reciever. the ones over there are probably programmed to only accept a certain range.

Thank you for your answers.

The UK remote controls are also in 315 MHz, ours in 433 MHz. I think your frequencies can easily scramble our immobilizer systems and block the Tahoe.

My VIN is: 1GNEK13T71J203126

If you had the solution, you would be Gods :D

There is someone on a French forum, who has remained many months without being able to start his Tahoe, for lack of remote control.

As it is a US truck, no one dares to touch it. I was even refused at the time in a garage, with my Firebird 85 in V8 305, because: hooooooo is an American V8 .... haaaa no one does not touch that, it's too complicated :confused:
