Hey everyone, I have been in the process of making an 01 Tahoe road worthy again. Unfortunately in the 230k miles she has developed a leak at the rear of the sunroof where the glass/seal meets the frame of the room. Before anyone mentions it YES I have verified that all drains are functioning properly. This drip is right where the glass and roof meet and doesn't fall into the tray that would lead to the drains anyhow. Maybe I am missing some parts from the previous owner since I also do not have a sunshade/visor.

This leak is more of a drip and I can modify it's location based off adjusting the height at which the sunroof is to the roof. I can't seem to find that perfect spot in pitch however that doesn't get a small drip with the water hose or when it rains.

Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

maybe it's missing more than the shade. My 01 was fussier than the 02 to water ( Both are Mexico Trucks ( Sept 00 for the 01, and Feb 02 for the 02 ). does it leak when you have it in vent position ( popped at the back )? I'll look at mine tonight

Well I don’t usually open it during water conditions but it possibly might. Chevy dealer stated they are non removable/replaceable…but I proved that wrong at lunch today since I can easily peel it back…looks a lot like another post that used this one

But states it’s only for an 07+
