In Hell, but I've got a Tahoe!
I don't know how else to categorize it, sorry. In the last few days, the Tahoe has developed a new noise in the dash that's related to the heat/cool system. I feel certain it has something to do with a vacuum pot or solenoid somewhere, but my wife "cleaned up a little" not too long ago, and I can't find my Tahoe book!! FWIW, this is a NBS with the standard heat/cool controls, not the climate system.

First off, the heater works fine - plenty of heat, so not the weak heat thing that others have run into. I should also mention that this morning, when getting the truck out of the garage, my A/C selector showed on, the recirc light was on, and was unable to change either of them. Fan, duct selector, heat all semes to work normally, and once I stopped/started again, I was able to change/select at will like it should have. I did wonder at that point if it was the control box rather than something else, but only happened once and unable to repeat it so far.

With the fan switch in any position, including off, the air source selector in the outside air position, and the outlet selector knob set for floor heat(straight up), there is a steady, rhythmic "flap flap flap flap" coming from somewhere to the right side of the dash - closer to the glovebox than the dash panel. At first, selecting the first notch to the left on the outlet knob would silence the flapping. Today, however, the only way to silence the flapping is to place the outlet knob in the above-mentioned position, and change the air selector to recirculate rather than outside. As I mentioned, the heat produced is as it always has been, it's not weak at all. It just appears to have something to do with the air mix valve or something.

I intend on pulling it apart this weekend to look further but hoped others had run into the same or similar problem and had some suggestions.

Now off to try and find that dang book. . . . :(
