2 braided wires on chassis

hello,

i have 2 corroded green looking braided wires in my engine bay attached to my frame.can anyone tell me what they are and where do they go.

Those are ground wires. IIRC, one goes to the engine, one to the body.

From what you see do they look like they need to be changed. and do you know what that type of wire is called.I look up ground wire ane can't seem to find that type.

If you wanted to, you could change them to 4 gauge wire (like amp wiring). But just some discoloration isn't a problem. Only if it was physically cut or damaged.
