this is my harness from fues box to altenator and to fire wall
need help so confused

u sure it has nothing to do with those butt splice connectors i see in that last pic? somethign got it goofed up for it to do that...sucks. and to fix it right, its gonna be expensive. i'd be calling insurance to see what they say. in our case, 100 dollar deductible would be much easier to stomach....not sure what yours is but cant (shouldnt) be too high...

500 deductable but the but conectors was my fix thought ide do a quick fix to see if that was wrong to see if the truck would start and then didnt soooo yes its pretty much the wire harness to the fuse box to the alt. and to the ecu so yea totally **** up idk what went wrong but yea its jacked up

is it a harness u can replace easily? maybe scour junk yards...i'd just be afraid of screwing somethign else up or it happening again if it were mine...

fawk!! sorry for asking, but did the harness get burnt from touching the alternator? or did it burn it because of a short? either way i also think you should call the insurance company. when some dicks attempted to steal my truck, they cut my main harness, i think it ended up being about $3000 to replace. its a crap load of work to do it back to factory spec

I'm not sure what the question is. No offense, but no one on the net is going to be able to talk you through that nightmare. You need to get someone that knows how to install a new harness and read schematics.
I'm not sure how insurance plays a part in this.

lol yea i know just needed to vent lol and hay never know if anyone has easier ways to do it but i got the call from heaven my buddys have a custom truck shop DOTLOWrides.com there going to come get my hoe and tow it down there and fix it !

i think it just ground out and the alternator when with it lol no clue is to how but it did ! but yea insurance wont help

i just replaced a complete engine harness in a 05 escalade. should be about the same harness. it was about $750 for the harness and i charged 4 hours. wasnt too bad to do.
