In Hell, but I've got a Tahoe!
I need to add a 12v power outlet that will switch on/off with the vehicle. Anyone have any suggestions for a good place inside the cabin to find a switched 12v tap location?

Drivers side behind brake pedal to left is a black plastic cover there are empty ‘ports’ there are switched, rap, constant, ground on the female spades sticking up. May be a little diff on gmt800’s but its there ED81CA58-7A2F-4F02-8030-90DAFBC12C1F.png4EEE9970-846D-4B28-B5B7-AC3D360C5C71.jpeg

You can prob buy a plastic connector that plugs into the ‘port’ with pigtail wires pre installled, but I just uses female spade connector and it fits right on the male pin. GM puts them in for access for ‘upfitters’..... ppv, ssv, etc.......Meter them to make sure whats what tho, that diagram is for a gmt900 I believe..

I'm using a fuse tap on my fuse box for my wideband. Nice a clean install and ez to reverse if needed. The older gmt 800 seem to have more switched fuse options than the newer trucks.

2 questions: What is the difference between the Accessory pin and Ignition pin? #2: Does anyone know what amount of current these pins are designed to handle?
