09 Escalade Platinum Headlights

Just picked up a Platinum and was not impressed with headlight output. Did some looking and looks like assembly is only option? Is anyone converting LED lights for HID assemblies for bulb options?

I got new lenses for mine off Alibaba. The OEM headlamp color is 6500k which is, by today’s standards of 8k, very mild.

The driver / module for all the leds is calibrated to the entire package so to upgrade you’d have to engineer a way to handle the additional thermal and power increases of potential changes.

My solution is going to be a mod to the fog lamps and convert the guts into led driving lamps. The correct projector beam and output will make a huge difference where the light is lacking at the outside perimeters.
