After nearly 8 months of bullsh*t, it's finally fixed.

It all began as a simple parking light flash and no start symptom every few weeks. Then the vehicle woud start and then immediately shut off. From there it evolved into the starter grinding, radio shorting out, HVAC resetting and a ton of other crap.

Countless trips to the dealer and I was always told "it's operator error", just like thousands of others have been told. There really is a problem. After a *very* heated discussion with a service manager about how I can't operate the remote correctly I asked him to try it on the service drive. Sure as sh*t it would not start, started to grind and eventually would only do the parking light flash. Told ya so!

Believe me, had I been in the 24 month Florida lemon law time period I would have llemon lawed that damn thing faster than you could shake a stick at it.

So three weeks at the dealer it's fixed. I know several of the techs there so that also went to my favor. Several times they "fixed it" and I would get home to a no start/parking light flash situation. I finally started to bring them to my house each time so they could have a live problem with TAC on the phone and a tech-2 to diagnose it.

After changing the BCM, GM's TAC told the dealer it must be RF interference at my house since it's happening only at my house. As luck would have it it happened on the service drive when I went to go pick the tahoe up for attempt #3.

Long story short it ended up being the passlock module showing an attempted theft, locking the radio, and not allowing a remote start.

TAC instructed them to change:
Hood switch
BCM
RCDLR
Software updates for everything
A few other modules
Passlock module

The problem continued each time until the passlock was changed. I pushed from the beginning that something was wrong with the passlock as when it would attempt a start the security light would flash rapidly.

Hopefully there won't be any more issues. This may be the last GM product I ever own, a hard thing to say as I've always driven GM prouducts.

Oil leak's on the last 3 trucks at 20k from the rear main
Tahoe had an oil leak at 20k from the rear main.
Oil filter adapter leaks at 30k. The tahoe happened at 22k.
Electrical problems with the tahoe and GM pointing the finger to say it's operator error to avoid having to fix the problem.

No wonder why imports are killing the US auto manufacturers.
