Hi guys new to the forum. I just bought my girlfriend a 2007 fully loaded yukon denali. Runs a little rougher than I think it should at idle and everything I've read so far says to start at the plugs and wires. I've used Taylors back in the day on my hot rod projects and would like to stay with them. Pro's/con's on the Taylors? As far as plugs on these things I have no idea where to start so I'm open for suggestions. I'm 99% positive I'm going to buy an airaid Jr also. Probably a cat - back system and tunes next month. Oh it's got 153,000.

I run taylors on mine and they work great. As for plugs stick with AC delco's.

Yep stick with the AC Delcos for plugs....
Clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner....
Clean the throttle body as well...

If you are gonna do an intake do that first then get it tuned...

Thanks guys. I planned on doing the intake, exhaust, plugs and wires before the tunes. I'm well versed in the diesel stuff but this gas motor is alien to me. I've read about the black bear tunes and that's probably the route I'm going. I run Efi live on my duramax. It's the same software isn't it?

Yep. Blackbear will set ya straight. Just be patient after emailing them-they are busy but WILL respond. Love my tune...

Its's around the same price as a duramax tune from duramaxtuner, ppei, etc. but you won't net nearly the same gains. So to me the cost of the tune wasn't worth the 15-20hp gain. Just a heads up from one diesel guy to another.

You're welcome man! These 6.2's are surprisingly quick stock. Paired with the awd it's definitley quicker than my 03 Duramax.!

Pros and cons, but just seems like a lot of money to me! The in person would be worth it for sure

True, but its nice to be able to switch at anytime. If I wanna haul a heavy load, I switch it to the tow tune I requested. If I wanna go on a trip, switch it to 87 and set cruise control, or if I wanna have fun, set it to performance and roast the tires.

And if you add anything to the vehicle after the tune, give them a buzz and they can adjust the tune for you at no charge.

Not everyone is into that I get it, but well worth $600 IMO.

I was just kinda shocked when I saw the price was the same as tuning for my Duramax. I do think the versatility of it is nice, but it's still a lot of cashola.

I'm in college, on a budget, and a cheap ass. Lol I save up like crazy but don't like spending so when I do I think about it for awhile to make sure I get the best deal on the best product. $600 is almost a set of 33's or wheels or whatever floats your boat. I know BB dies good work but it's a hefty chunk of change! I guess it's subjective lol
