I'm pretty sure z71 was available on certain 2WD Tahoes, in gmt800 and 900. I know because it's a pet peeve of mine to have the z71 off-road features...with 2WD.
The fenders WOULD look good on a lowered Tahoe though!

I don’t think the OEM fender flares are available anymore but I can’t even see a way to search for a GMT900 Tahoe in Z71 trim on GM Parts Direct.

However based on my own experience with Bushwacker fender flares on my 2010 Suburban, my opinion is that the fender flares really need a wheel & tire setup that is wider than OEM. I really like the extra shape of fender flares and put the Bushwakers on my Suburban because OEM wasn’t an option, but they didn’t look great until I put on new rims … leading to a NorCal mod + increase on the keys and a scheduled 1” leveling lift to prevent the rubbing (admittedly on 17” rims with off-road tires) and I’ll probably still need to mold the windshield washer reservoir & liner more.

It can look good but Chevy engineers don’t help us much with wheel well clearance.

Is it possible to still purchase OEM GMT900 Z71 Tahoe fender flares?

If so, certainly they could be installed on any other non-Z71 trim GMT900 Tahoe.

If the end goal is to lower it might be simpler or cheaper to seek out a non-Z71 model?

I think the fenders themselves are different?

I dislike raised AND lowered vehicles but that's from my 60's musclecar experiences where people were doing stupid things to suspensions like jamming solid wedges in coil springs.
