04 Yukon aftermarket radio questions

I'm trying to upgrade my 04 yukon Audio, My cd player not working. I want to know do I need to disable the anti-theft audio system before i install the after market system and will it work if i don't disable the factory system first.

Changed your title so that you will get better responses.

All the anti-theft does is keeps someone from taking your CD player and putting it in a different vehicle without the assistance of some who can change the code to the new vehicle. You are free to change out as you like but if you put in a different factory radio you will need to have that units anit-theft changed to work with your truck.

Dont need to disable anything. Just install the aftermarket radio using the correct harness for your truck.

yes and make sure when you wire the harness to connect the power antenna wire even though you dont have one this will turn on your factory amp
