2022 Tahoe High Country - Lift vs Level

Congrats on your purchase! My opinion is go with a kit. It is the only way to keep factory geometry. Again, my opinion, leval kits are ******** and you will end up buying a lift kit to correct what the level kit ****** up. Save your time, agrevasion and money.

    DIY Alignment 07 Tahoe 4WD

Your doing good. It's a long road to get where you are at when figuring it all out on your on. I am still on this road just a little way ahead of you. I graduated from your 16$ tool to 0ne that measures caster and king pin as well. By the way you can actually measure your caster with the gauge...

    2003 Awd tire wear

How close are upper control arms to your bump stops? If you cranked your keys to much you lost your downward travel and alignment adjustment. You can't get enough alignment adjustment to correct the camber if this is the case.

    Z55 AWD Yukon Denali Lift

I agree with Swathdiver. Speaking from experience just by the lift kit so you get everything to keep your geometry within specs. I went the level kit, keys upper control arm and so on and it's just a way to nickel and dime you until you get tired of fiddling with it and by the kit. Save yourself...

    Squat with acceleration

Your castor adjustment being negative will cause this along with no downward travel of the upper control arm.

    Seriously WTF Spindle Issue Still

Negative castor and/ or loose uca adjusters will cause it to be all over the place if I am understanding your problem correctly.

    Oil issue

All Fel-Pro for me as well with 100% success. As far as performance goes when I did knock sensors and replaced valley pan,0ps, valve cover and intake gaskets at the same time I found the intake had been leaking probably for years was leaking at every port of the heads. So, while I was chalking...

    Oil issue

I agree 100% on the lucky and do not look for it to last long at 255k my LQ9 still is as strong as ever but it owes nobody anything and anything could go at any time. On the brite side everything but the rear main and plate is new as far as gaskets, seals, oil and water pumps timing gears and...

06 Escalade oil leak rear of engine?

I was able to get a clear pic with my phone of the ops, rear of valley pan gasket and back of heads/ valve cover gaskets. All were leaking but the ops will pump the oil out back there and it will run down both sides. Start with the easy stuff. Still wouldn't count out the rear main even though...

    Oil issue

It floored me as well. I was just hoping for it to slow it down enough until i could take the time to fix it, which I will still repair it properly but dam it actually stopped it. Don't know for how long but have read that people have used it with oil changes after having success with it and...

    Lift

I would suggest spindles as well and keep a close eye on cv axles too, I have 33's on a 3.5 leval kit and ended up getting a cv axle that actually extends and retracts and can handle greater angles. This is on an 05 so may not be of help but anything you lift encounters the same obstacles. If I...

Can't find Winter tires in stock for 22" 275/50/R22

I have a set of Defender 285/45 R22 in good shape and they are on a set of 2015 factory Escalade rims complete with center caps. they would be perfect for a 2nd set of winter tires and rims. 2 of the rims have matching dents on the inside of rims around 2 to 3" but not terrible. If they were put...

    P0455 Evap hose PN's?

Thanks for pics of other possible trouble areas. I would only patch if I was tight on funds and parts would cut into beer money or if there was an extended waiting period for parts.

My “new” 05 - updates, upgrades and service plans

Let me know if you decide to sell Ole Blue. At 39k it's probably pretty wore out you should probably go ahead and sell. LMBO

My “new” 05 - updates, upgrades and service plans

Looks to be mounted right beside canister. If so it's a pretty sure bet Mountie's is the same. Mine is on my 05 Escalade. Getting ready to replace canister and clear lines today. both valves are fairly new, but I found charcoal inside of my purge valve, slow fill started a couple weeks ago along...

This is absolutely 1 of the first things that should be checked and is 1 of the most overlooked.

Yes. It says it will work with up to 8 quarts of oil.

    Oil issue

I had several other leaks like the ops, valve cover gaskets, valley pan gasket, oil fill tube, CSS, oil dipstick tube. started on top sense I had to do knock sensors anyway with most of the leaks making it to the same area and looking like yours. All pretty easy fixes. When it came to the rear...

06 Escalade oil leak rear of engine?

OPS and cam sensor is where I would look first, and the rear valley pan gasket. Here is my experience with the same oil leak you are having. If you're not having knock sensor issues yet more than likely you will be soon. I am suggesting pull the intake because those gaskets are leaking you can...

    Oil issue

It could also be coming from rear valley pan gasket and/or valve cover gaskets. my underneath looks the same but a lot more oil. So, this weekend since my knock sensors are freaking out, I am replacing those the wire harness, intake gasket, valley pan gasket and valve cover gaskets. Hopefully...

2018 Esky Lux. after 6 months

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. Great job as well. I bought my bosses 05 when he upgraded to the 15 and you nailed it on that year, he is so unhappy with it and has had poor ride/suspension issues that cost him a fortune and is still shit. The 8-speed tranny nailed it again nothing...
