Negative, gave up looking for a bit. But I’ve seen a bunch of Tahoes from the factory lately that have the black trim package (can tell by the window surround trim) that has black grills that may work.
I think it’s a fantastic combo, way better than the Ram. And nope never had to manually shift, and the built in exhaust brake has worked wonderfully on some of the steep descents we’ve traversed in northern AZ so far. All in all couldn’t be happier.
We have a 22 Tahoe 3.0 with Max Trailering and air suspension. Travel Trailer is a lighter, 4,900lbs dry, unit but with a family of five gets loaded pretty well. Never weighed it to see but my guess is after bikes and everything probably close to 6k. Oh and it’s 31’ ball to bumper. I had plenty...
But then it wouldn’t look so clean. But I am interested in a vinyl kit to go over all the chrome if you’re making any. Been looking at some on eBay but have yet to pull the trigger.
After a little over 3 months finally got it back from the body shop. Unfortunately the body shop let it sit with spilt milkshakes (we were literally pulling out of the parking lot from getting them when we got hit so 5 milkshakes exploded inside) for who knows how long and it stained the door...
Searched randomly today and found this. It doesn’t give much info on what all systems it’s compatible with, but when I put in the vin for my high country it doesn’t appear in the available accessories so I’m guessing it’s for the lower trim systems only. But this gives me hope that options are...
I have a High Country and I peeled some of the paint on the hatch when I removed the rear letters using the adhesive remover wheel. The paint was super thin there. No problems on the fenders or doors though. Looked so much better once removed though as the high country badge is huge as well.
Yeah we had ours in for the first oil change and to fix the pano roof shade after and they didn’t say anything. My guess is that as long as you aren’t taking it in for something related to the starting system or the engine they would have no reason to check and/or notice.
My wife loves ours, and daily drove a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel prior to this. She averages about 20-25 miles a day taking the kids to and from school and we’ve never had any issues. We take about 1 moderate to long drive every two weeks which lets the regen activate. Oh, and driveability from the Ram...
We ordered last April and slowly ordered at 4 different dealers after waiting for almost a year. Finally bought a used one with Dmax/Max Tow last month when I finally found one. The week after we bought the Tahoe one dealer called and said they had an allocation. Confirmed my build the next...
Betty (white).
We usually nickname our cars if we can come up with something clever… Vanna White (minivan) was probably the best followed now by Betty, and Sterling (silver).
That was one of my major concerns after. Finger crossed but the body shop said one of their sales guys did roughly the same thing to his 21 Suburban back in June and they were able to get all the parts in about 3 weeks.
Love the satin steel with black combo, great looking ride!
No I did the stock size 275/50R22 because Costco will only replace like for like. They even had to inspect the wheels before they would agree to install them.
Yep I used a heat gun while prying off the badges, but not when I used the rubber wheel…maybe that would have helped, but who knows.
Be careful out there folks. Everyone was ok, except for the civic haha. Here’s to hoping they don’t total it out so we don’t have to wait another year.
And you get the headrest speakers from the Esky which I thought was one of the coolest features when I test drive one. Hopefully it has a better subwoofer as well.
I was already in the process of having the grill and other chrome trims quoted to paint black so now I’m including a re-spray of at least that panel, if not the whole hatch.
Took the badges off on Saturday and gave it a detail on Sunday. First vehicle of ours I’ve washed and waxed in 8ish years… what a huge vehicle lol. And an fyi to everyone thinking of rebadging; the rubber adhesive wheels work great BUT be very careful. The paint on our hatch was super thin and...
Got the Vossen wheels installed last night. Planning to get some better photos this weekend, hopefully after I get the badges off. So much better than the stock High Country wheels!
FYI for anyone else still looking I just got my 3rd row liner in from GM the other night and can honestly say you might as well but after market. They don’t fit all that well, and they come in 3 pieces so every time my son climbs into his seat they all come apart and shift out of place. It needs...
We were actually in the same exact scenario as him and a few weeks ago bought a high country. IMHO the little differences, if you know about them, between the Denali and High Country are huge, not to mention the looks. Actually got a call from a dealer that we had ordered with today and they...
Good to know. Now I have a little more info as I’m looking for the factory black pieces. Although I may just get a quote from a paint shop still as there is no black option for the high country grill…
