    ok, I dont get it! I replaced the fan speed switch in the dash unit, replaced the wiring harness and still have no fan control up front. Everything else in the dash unit works fine. Any suggestions? I have no fan speeds.

    yep, relay controls MAX fan speed, resistor controls the others. I lost ALL speeds and then occassionally have the second speed but no others.

    I had wire damage when I replaced the dash unit. I cleaned the contacts and such but I figure after going through the mental wire picture that you just posted that odds are its the wiring. If not then its the switch but either way I need to fix the wiring first.

    I just replaced the entire dash unit last summer. I ordered a new wire harness plug with wire splice set up. I will try that first. Its the only thing in the last 2 years that I havent replaced.

    My front blower motor only works in the 3rd position, low, the position before high and high are dead. Is that the resistor pack and the relay or is the dash unit going south??

    I went with a crate motor last February. I figure between the cost of having the block reworked, raplacing the timing chain, oil pump, cleaned the heads, valve job, etc it would just be cheaper to go with the crate motor. $1700...

    Sunlit, thanks. I have a larger radiator as well (all alumn) that I did when I replaced the motor so lookis like I need a new alt and the flexalites.

    Sounds like you installed her correctly.... did you clean the MAF sensor? I cleaned mine since I had it out. I would apply a little RTV sealant on the grommet and seal that up. If its leaking air that could be throwing off the air/fuel curve.

    I need to clarify... I paid the $120 for the in dash control unit (the selector switches and buttons under the radio). I paid $40 for the knuckle scrapping, finger slicing, four letter word inducing relay under the dash near the resistor. I want to beat the engineer that came up with that location!

    There are two of us in the thread asking break questions.... the other guy is asking about the ABS. I joined in on the " brake upgrade" side looking at what where the bolt on upgrades for a stock Hoe to improve the stopping distance. So crossed drilled rotors and semi-metalic pads. Got it.

    tune help

    I put UD's on my 91 Stang....the alt output voltage was so low at idle that the stereo sub would dim the headlights. I had to upgrade the Alt and the power wires. Not sure how UD's act on a Hoe.
