We've had our Yukon for months, and GM has sold tens of thousands of vehicles.
Why is Thule and Yakima taking so long figuring out what crossbars fit? I heard that some people have ordered cheap crossbars on Amazon with no issue, so the rails obviously aren't anything exotic right?.
Sorry for the delay. I'm also very concerned with the extra weight, and I've asked around to a lot of ProPride owners. Because it extends the hitch roughly 1ft, it ends up not creating as much extra hitch weight as you might think. (picture it as longer handles on a wheelbarrow).
This hitch...
I'm in almost the exact same situation, and I've been going over the numbers repeatedly.
Based on your numbers, you should be in good shape. I'm looking at a 21ft trailer that will be around 5,500lbs, and I basically have the same Yukon as you. I'll be right at my limits with my wife and 3 kids...
Just looked at the Sierra manual, and sure enough, that’s where they talk about the transparent trailer. It’s not in our manual as you all mentioned.
That’s so disappointing.
Oh man. That’s disappointing if true. It’s a marketing failure on GM’s part since all the articles say it’s part of “prograde trailering”. I totally thought it was included.
I'm finding it really difficult to find information on the "Prograde trailering system". There are numerous YouTube videos showing off how amazing it is, but I can't seem to find anyone that actually has used it or knows the details about it's operation (especially in how it's different in the...
Hmmm. I'm not sure. It's an OTG ("On the go") cable which means there's an extra pin. I don't know if it can work as a regular cable. Let me do some research.
Great minds think alike. I also bought the 90 degree USB-C adapter: https://amzn.to/2HHMY9Z
And a short cable: https://amzn.to/3jqjACU
Just a heads up with the HDMI adapters. They are 2 different adapters, facing different directions. In other words, even though it's a 2-pack, you can only use...
I also got supplier pricing and it was about $4k off MSRP. I got kind of a crappy trade offer for my truck, but I save a little on taxes so it's okay in the end.
Can someone with a 2021 Yukon Denali please measure the height from the ground to the top of the receiver hole?
I'm trying to figure out what size drop hitch I want to get. I'm thinking I either want 5" of drop, or 7" of drop.
Let me know what you're running. Thanks!
