It's my daily driver and was pretty much all original, prices were considerably lower than they are now and I didn't want to revisit it, so I bit the bullet and changed it all.
I'll keep my fingers crossed the idler fixes your issue
I would NOT recommmend Rockauto, their customer service sucks, they won't give you info you ask for, they won't tell you where they ship your parts from and most items arrive damaged. Have a nice day
The problem is on me? What BS is that? Do you work for them? Their shipping is pathetic and 50% of the items I buy from them arrive damaged but it's on me?
Re shaking, are the wheels balanced? If not you have some serious play and it will need more than a tie rod.
Mine got dangerously bad. I replaced everything on the steering apart from the lower ball joints and lower control arm bushings as that was more than I could manage alone in a parking...
Sorry to return with a rant, I was obviously upset yesterday, but I still stand by what I've said. Almost any and every heavy part I've purchased arrives beaten up, and often with holes in packaging and often the part has been hitting the ground. This is not an exaggeration. I've placed 25...
Why would that make me unpack the compressor? I did take a decent look at it. But only noticed the damage when I saw the pulley wasn't spinning evenly.
I've had loads damaged items from them. I haven't returned all of them. They even sent me a "new" battery that was at 11volts.
You guys can...
When they ship heavy or fragile items in retail packaging It's not surprising they get damaged. I've received items multiple times poorly packaged with holes on the shipping boxes. Can blame FEDEX all you want but if the items aren't packaged safely it doesn't matter who the carrier is, shit...
Was just about to install the AC compressor I bought last year and found the compressor clutch pulley has scuffs on it and does not spin evenly. The reason I did not install it last summer is RockAuto shipped me a condenser in the retail packaging that got damaged in shipping multiple times. Now...
I still use a chamois. Haven't found any drying cloth that works better. Those colored ones are too small. I like the grey ones I bought from Walmart I posted above.
Sounds like someone doesn't like you. Couple years back I found oil on my DS rotor that looked like it was intentionally sprayed on it from the pattern on the inside pf the rim. I have a pretty good idea which faggot neighbor did it. Might want to keep an eye on it.
Can fix that and improve grounding with a 48" cable from the battery terminal to the frame rail and an extended nut to fit the cable at the battery. Can buy both at autozone for about $20. My grounds are still intact but I have the parts to do it to mine to improve the grounding. But parts have...
There are only two 'straps' that you already mentioned. The rear engine block to frame bolts in the same spot on the frame as the frame to firewall. It may have corroded or been removed. You can fix it with an extended bolt for the battery and running a 4' cable to the frame where the firewall...
Yes, filled up until it clicked off and then went back to the same gas station and pump. Obviously not exactly 16.7 but somewhere around there. I was late on the way up and was doing 80 up some of the grades so could probably get that down a bit. I cruised back home.
I'm moving out of town...
Drove 144 miles and only used 8.6 gallons of gas for 16.7 MPG!!!!!
Unheard of. Best I ever got before was 14. AC was on too. I actually had to turn it off up a really long steep grade as temp started to climb. Went home back down the same way, mostly downhill.
I was tempted by this but decided to just stick with what the manufacturer recommends. There is a difference. Pretty sure when the system is full/not leaking there is no mush/sludge from dexcool. But I did get some of that when my rad was leaking and the system wasn't full a few years back...
Let me add a couple things to that video as I just did this a couple times recently.
About 2 quarts should give you a decent flush. More won't hurt.
3/8 id hose fits over the hard line at the pump, and 5/8 id hose will fit over the flexible hose. I used what I had around, no hose barb...
There's a long thread about this on GMT400 where couple people point out the differences and why you shouldn't put the GMT 800 MC on a 400. I didn't pay enough attention to be able to specify why. But couple people also said they had done the swap and felt like they had to stand on the pedal...
Probably just contaminated fluid and not a 'plug'.
Did you completely flush it or just empty the reservoir?
If you haven't completely flushed it you should. Is very easy and won't hurt.
Do it with the front of the truck off the ground, and after don't start the truck until you've turned the...
Fill it up from dry and leave it for 10 mins before you start plunging.
Tilt it forward and plunge and tilt is backward and plunge it too.
Also Bleed any air from the blanking plugs, crack one open a little, plunge the mc and close the plug before you let off the plunge
