Nope not true... these bags have different spring rates at different pressures. If you want to ride it low in the back then u will have only about 20-30 psi which isn't enough to support our heavy SUV's thus equaling more side to side swaying at low pressures. If you add more pressure (higher...
Problem isn't the pan hard. With bags the problem is there isn't enough air (when you ride it low) to stop the swaying of these top heavy SUV's. I have no idea as to why it happening with coil springs. my only guess is you need some good drop shocks
Here is my experience, If you want to ride it low then you will get alot of sway. B/c the 7" bags wont have enough air pressure in them to get them at a nice stiffness for a good ride. So if u install 6" bags they are much shorter and will take more pressure to get to ride height which will...
The front was torsion bar brackets welded to the frame and DJM lower arms... My DJM lower arms are for sale... I am actually working on a bolt on rear kit with a adjustable pan hard bar...
those are some tall brackets I would cut them down. I think when I measured I had about 5" when the axle was fully compress. So the compressed slam bag is 3" to that left about 2" for the cups.. But I went with weld on axle brackets and very short upper cups.
I get rid of the neg camber, new control arms or flip the upper arms and raid the mounts like 1.25"-1.50"
Hey did they have to pull your dash and everything behind it to tub your firewall?? I am thinking I might need to do the same thing but I am hoping I can get away with out pulling the dash
Hey no problem I just want you to be informed about them. I never heard of any thing good about them....
FYI: I do carry mostly everything for air ride.......... I need to sign up as a vender over here i have some Viair compressors on sale too...
ya I wouldn't do a reverse triangulated rear, these trucks are way to heavy to do it this way. Reverse four links belong on a POS mini truck......
Your best bet on a budget is a 2 link and a track bar or a pan hard bar. But even those have there disadvantages... But I am running one to save...
FYI stay away from chassis tec or shAIM.. basically they are the dollar store for air ride parts...http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/general-discussion/street/137429-chassis-tech-aim-products.html
And btw that kit is nothing new. bags over the upper control arms has been done may times to...
