Anyone with a Tech 2 in Houston?

Just saw this. I’m in Houston and have messed with mine a bunch. New switch, new regulator, turned out it was a faulty wire that needed to be secured in a specific way to avoid the interior door panel from grounding it out when reinstalled. Let me know if you’re still having problems, as I’m...

Custom box behind third row seat

Try Net Audio they have a similar box design to the one you posted. I’ll be purchasing a custom box from them for my JL audio 12W7 which will still allow me to fold one of the rear 3rd-row seats up for groceries, guns, tools, etc. Definitely contact them as they can make and ship a box of your...

I’m aware, I haven’t tuned it yet, so we’ll see where it ends up as it sits. Expect an update once tuned Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CB radio install on a 07-14 tahoe?

I agree. My main goal was to mount the 4’ antenna under the roofline, so it would still be garage accessible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CB radio install on a 07-14 tahoe?

Got the CB antenna mounted finally. Had to make a custom 1/8” steel bracket that supports it from underneath the bumper & behind the tail light. I’m pleased with the final result. Now to run the 18’ coax. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cost of rear main seal replacement

And a speed limit is just a suggestion. to each their own though. But at 300k and a mechanic myself I wouldn’t doubt myself, or waste my time stating my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cost of rear main seal replacement

Thanks @swathdiver for the prompt response. Those are indeed the same part numbers required for a 2007 5.3l w/flex. Another point that I don’t believe has been mentioned is to use a thicker weight oil. The manufacture recommendations are not always correct. Remember, they want you to trade in...

These are the exact same steps I took to install my Kenwood DMX905S. The distance that the rear connections extend from the rear of the HU will require you to trim these inner dash supports. In doing so the unit will then mount flush allowing for the faceplate to go back on without any issues...

Much love and respect! I rarely do things half ass as it usually bites you later on. The kind words mean a lot. Love this community for that. Thanks again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dark Grey Matte wrapped 2007 LTZ Tahoe

It’s almost been a year with the wrap on, and it’s still in great shape. Yes there are a few known spots lifting, but those were expected. The truck bakes in the TX heat year round, so i’m sure there’s a slight fade in color as well. Anyways here’s an updated picture of the rig as she sits...

Kbuskill's 2008 Burb LTZ "MOD" Thread

Love the charger mod, been thinking of doing the same, thanks for completing the leg work for me. Also, Dremel’s work wonders. I used mine almost everyday in the hanger. More flexible than air tools when working in aircraft. Also be sure to have an extra battery you can swap out with if...

How many miles does your vehicle have on it?

I’ve headlight restored them several times over, but I could honestly careless at the moment. Unfortunately I’m not satisfied with any of the aftermarket headlight assemblies either, therefore I’m going a completely different direction and going full one-off custom. And with anything custom, it...

How many miles does your vehicle have on it?

Nice! I have an 07 Tahoe LTZ 4x4 but with 282k miles - original everything. I’ll easily hit 300k this year as I commute 900 miles a week for work. Normal maintenance performed regularly. I’ll be replacing the wheel bearings later this week. Other than that, a quart of oil in-between changes...

CB radio install on a 07-14 tahoe?

Had to add some 1/8” rubber edge protector to keep the high pitched chafing to a minimum. 3’ was enough for the front and back. It also doubles to fill the gap in the front restricting the red illumination lights on the switches from shining through. Still welding up a rear hatch antenna mount...

    Driver Door Hinge Noise

I’m an A&P mechanic for my day job, LPS 2 works really well, as it’s a gel lubricant that will both stick and penetrate. Been using it on my hoe for over a year now, only had to reapply once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2007 Tahoe LTZ Build Thread.

I’ve been swamped at the airport with work, but have slowly been adding stuff to the old hoe. Just scooped this KENWOOD DMX905S Carplay receiver from a friend. Also has the KENWOOD DRV-N520 dashcam integrated too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
