Correct but I’m talking about starting to use restore and protect on an engine that has 145,000 miles on it already that has never used restore and protect. In other words, all the sludge and buildup that the new oil would remove could possibly end up in those passages…
Is anyone using the new Valvoline restore & protect with the factory lifters (AFM/dod)? I was going to start using it but then I remembered the issue we have with these lifters and the oil passages getting clogged and causing lifter failures, etc. etc..
So I have an another clunk while turning slowly and the steering feels loose at highway speeds. Also the steering wheel is off as if the alignment is off. I jacked up the truck and pulled back and forth on the wheel at the 9 and 3 o'clock position. It felt very loose and lots of play but its not...
