    Tahoe LT low oil pressure?

2014 with about 90k on it. Replaced the sensor and screen 2 years ago, had the issue again. Ordered the parts and then did an oil change while waiting. I still can't believe it but that oil change was the fix the second time around. (I never have easy fixes...)

    2015 Tahoe/Front hitch installed !

Since I have the SSV with push bar I had another option for a front hitch.

Service Tire Monitor, and Discount Tire TP Replacement

I made a mistake with the title that was corrected in the post. For what it is worth, it is Just Tires. I've always had such good luck here. Like I said, they mounted multiple small trailer tires for free, helped with a stripped lug nut, are open late weeknights, Sundays, etc. (The Discount...

Service Tire Monitor, and Discount Tire TP Replacement

It gets better. Last trip they want to hook up to the OBD2. Then three guys are running around looking for a cable. They keep opening different kits, and their cable is missing. 20 minutes later then find something. Tell me they now have it reading, but I have to drive 28 mph for 15 minutes...

Service Tire Monitor, and Discount Tire TP Replacement

That's what I'm thinking too, just going to suck to spend that money to find out they installed a bad sensor, and starting over paying someone else to do the same thing. Thanks

Service Tire Monitor, and Discount Tire TP Replacement

I'm familiar with the frequency differences and staying away from nearby vehicle. The trouble is as HiHoSilver states above. They want to send me out the door without it working, saying that it needs to be driven. They can keep saying "this time it will work" and keep getting you out of their...

Service Tire Monitor, and Discount Tire TP Replacement

2014 SSV. This place has always been great in the past, they have always mounted my small trailer tires for no charge. Trouble is after over paying them last week to fix this, I do not want to throw money somewhere else now. But yeah, I can't find the "drive until it reads the sensor" type...

Service Tire Monitor, and Discount Tire TP Replacement

I get a Service Time Monitor message, and my right rear tire does not read out. I spent more than I want to admit having Just Tires replace the sender. Sign the paperwork, jump in the car, and run right back in to the office. Light is still on, and tire does not read. States I have to drive 15...

BLIZZAK DM-V2 or DEFENDER LTX M/S

I'm right outside of Chicago and the only reason I got my last two Tahoes were to pull snowmobile trailers. 90% of the use is for towing in the snow. You can't beat Blizzaks for snow, but I think that 20k wear is a stretch. I believe the manufacturer even states it is a different compound at...

    Looking to get a SSV

I was concerned when I went from my old LT with the Auto-Level to the SSV, thinking I would need to add air or springs, but the Nivomats shocks in the SSV did everything I needed. 90% of my use is towing with 600 pounds plus of tongue weight.

    Looking to get a SSV

As said, these are not usually from the midwest. There are 3 major SSV dealers, and they are all in the Chicago area. Mine came from Montana, and went through two other dealers within 5 days of me getting it at Chicago, which makes me think that there is a lot of markup from the initial...

Tahoe 6.2 with 10 speed milage issue Buyer remorse

As for break in, my brand new 02 got 15 mpg the day I got it. 15 years later it got 15 mpg (hate to say it out loud, but with the original plugs) My 5.3 never "broke in" or changed the whole time I had it.

    Can I purchase this piece?

New ones are expensive, but your old one is worth something. The SSV/PPV do not have the Driver Information Center switch cut out, but it is wired for it. So there is a demand, even if not perfect. And as said, be very careful with the one you receive, and the one you ship. Most arrive cracked...

    Towing Discussion

I pulled this smaller sled trailer with my 02 and 14, both with full tow packages. (02 had auto-level and everything you have). It would pull 85 if I wanted, but the mileage even at legal speeds was 7 mpg, so it was working hard. And with the 4 speed there if you wanted to go 3 mph faster the...

    HELP! new bfgoodrich KO2 rubbing

Late response, but.. The post said 275, isn't stock 265? I have 265-70-17. My chart doesn't show that there are 265-60-17 KO2s. (Picture of me picking up my trailer after ordering it and waiting 10 weeks for the build. Knew I would be taking "baby pictures", but forgot about the missing cap...

    HELP! new bfgoodrich KO2 rubbing

I guess I'm not clear here. You have over sized tires on a stock setup, and are concerned that they rub? Perhaps the question is why were the Bridgestones undersized? I have no problem with a trailer and stock KO2, don't think I would want to try larger size though.

    Towing

Pulled this thing every winter weekend for many years. In many cases when no one else wanted to be out. No problems, it just loved the gas because of the wind resistance. (I'm have a new trailer being built this week that will be 6 feet longer) That 2002 Tahoe had the 3.73 gears that came...

    2003 Tahoe 4wd

It will be interesting... :-) I sold my 2002 LT, ALL the options (even cassette :), 80k, garage kept, original window sticker and every receipt, and got a lot less than I expected. I couldn't even put it up for sale here either, didn't have enough posts.

Heated / Cooled Seat Wiring / Airbag

Looking for heated leather seats for my SSV. 90% of the use for this vehicle is towing snowmobiles, sits more than it should in the summer. Instead I find a set of heated/cooled ones for half the price of anything else. Sounds like fun... :-) The cooling system is self contained peltier /...

Hot 4wd selector knob revs jumping around

Mine on my 2014 gets really hot too. I was just going to ask about that. Everything works fine but the heat is almost scary. I did not think of the light, the best situation I was thinking of, without there being an issue, would be the heater ducts.

Do our $$$$$ Escalade's not have an integrated brake controller?

Towing capacity does not mean all towing accessories are included. It is the towing capacity... You need to add the controller, and there is no more chance of a lawsuit than someone who clips a car changing lanes because they did not provide you towing mirrors. The only lawsuit I could...

    Aging 2004 Tahoe dilemma

I know a few people have rolled a lot of miles on, but I look at the repair cost as a percentage of the vehicle value. If the truck is worth $4000-$4500, you are putting 33% of the value of the vehicle in a single fix. And it's not like your replacing 33% of the vehicle, or replacing a "larger...
