Have you changed the O-Ring on your oil pick up tube. Look on youtube a lot of people had the same problem and it ended up being the oring on the oil pick up tube.
Could very well be the starter causing the issue, i would look into that also. i was just stating what i saw in the video. could be a coincidence with the starter issue. How many miles are on it again? if your wanting to do preventive maintenance then i would replace the water pump. If not then...
If its cylinders 1 and 7 those are AFM cylinders and you might have a lifter that is stuck, causing the misfire. That can get costly real quick. Still think that noise is coming form the water pump though. JMHO
while watching the video at about the time the cluck sound is made, you can see the water pump pulley stop for a brief moment. might want to look into your water pump being replaced if it is still the factory one. just letting you know what i saw during the video. let me know if replacing the...
I would def replace the oil pressure sending unit. mine did that but it was pegged all the way or at 0. They are a pain in the ass to change but that fixed my problem. if you change it yourself, have patience when doing it as it is in a tight spot.
I have a 2007 Yukon XL 5.3L with Oil consumption also. When idling what is you oil pressure at? Have you changed your oil pressure switch? I have also read that can lead to AFM lifter failure as it starves the lifters for oil when it starts to get clogged up. They recommend just taking out the...
yOU have to take the inerior cover off of your tailgate. the only thing that sucks about taking the outer piece off to get to the wire harness is that the nuts are held in by locktite, so you end up breaking the plastic tabs that the studs are held in by. you will end up buying a new outer piece...
Here is the final result with the new tires and bigger rear lift. I really love the results. Plus everything aligned in spec. Next is molding removal and badge removal. And oh yeah with the 34's lots of trimming for rubbage
315/70R17 is what i ordered, it comes out to basically a 34, Also ordered a 3inch level spacer for the rear to help level the rear out. After looking at it driving around it does look kinda funny with the front end being as high as it is.
I would def. check the wiring. On my Yukon i had found that both bulbs were not working. After testing with a test light and a DMM i had found that i was getting power to the sockets but they were not coming on. After looking at the wiring ( taking the wire cover and electrical tape off) i had...
Found the problem to the issue also. After tearing everything apart again, Found a broken wire the goes to the drivers side crush sensor. Repaired the wire and BAM!!!!! everything works.
UPDATE!!!!!! I did find the demon... it was a bad ground in the harness the the lights and the rear hatch glass button are connected to. Im not sure if the splice was like that from the factory but i found it and fixed it. one thing that did suck is taking off the exterior cover to get to the...
Whats your take on adding a 3 inch spindle lift with the 3 inch level kit i already have plus putting the 3 inch level block in the rear instead of my 1.5. I kinda like the cali lean but not too too much higher in the front as it is a long vehicle? Anyone want to chime in also let me know?
